Slower than Sloe Gin

I had planned to blog a few times a week.  Look how long it's taking me to create another post?  Why is it that at work I fly around like a bolt of lightning and I am non-stop action, but in my personal life I navigate  slower than a snail in a salt mine?  Perhaps its because at work I know EXACTLY what needs to be done and I am good at it.  In personal matters, I am not nearly so confident or compitent.  Hmm..thoughts to ponder.

Here's some random boozy trivia:

Sloe gin is a red liqueur flavored with sloe (blackthorn) berries which are a small fruit related to plum. The traditional way of making sloe gin is to infuse gin with the berries. Sugar is added to the berries to pull the juices out and slightly thicken the liqueur.

The most commonly known drink that sloe gin is used in as called a Sloe Gin Fizz.  But here is my favorite... (You got to love the name)

SLOE COMFORTABLE SCREW AGAINST A WALL

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Sloe Gin
  • 1/2 oz Southern Comfort
  • Orange juice
  • Galliano
  • Cherry

Mix 1 shot of Sloe Gin, add half ounce Southern Comfort, fill tall glass with orange juice, float Galliano and cherry on top.
